Emerging markets over time have done really well and generally do not correlate with US or other developed nations stocks. If someone is going to invest in emerging markets it would be advisable to invest in an index fund such as those ran by Vanguard. Otherwise the expenses will be extremely steep and could eat into any benefit of investing in emerging markets in the first place..
